Our main goal was to take advantage of their Brand. We needed to make sure that Toolstop were easy to find through Brand Terms. Once we gained the exposure (clicks increase YOY 100.76%), we needed to ensure these visitors where converting. Search Campaigns where used on First Click basis, we would then remarket users with banners created by our in-house design team to capture cart abandoners. We also used RLSA to ensure those still searching for our brand who didn’t convert would find us again.

ABOUT TOOLSTOP

TOOLSTOP offers professional tradespeople huge savings on quality hand and power tools. The company wanted to develop its pay-per-click (PPC) advertising activity to improve revenue while bringin down spend, therefore improving ROI.


WHAT WE DID

Colewood took over management of Toolstop's account at the beginning of October 2015.

Our main priority for this account at the start was shopping as most of the revenue generated predominantly came through there.

We started by working with the client to ensure the feed was setup in a way that could be managed more efficiently by ourselves and also in a way where the client could give us KPIs to work towards.

the results we achieved because of this in the first 3 months were staggering. This was all done under the clients agreed budgets with ourselves

January 2016 we added our new tool to the account, the tool in question was developed in house by Colewood. It is called the FCST or Feed to campaign Synchronization Tool.

The tool works using Google API and working directly with the shopping feed in the merchant center. This allows to target highly specific product codes and brand related terms.

Because it works with the shopping feed it also updates ad groups with live pricing, pausing ad groups when the item is out of stock, reactivating the ad groups when the items are back in stock.
